Probably in the top 3 or four rarest Illinois ever made. These DePollier cased divers were produced in 1919 and were first attempt at a waterproof military watch. Crown taper locks into flanges on side of case putting tension on it's cork gaskets. Dial is original, metal with great luminous numerals and hands ..some patina across it. Case is large for its time (1919) measuring 37.8mm x 42.6 mm overall . Case is brass with a heavy black finish has screw back and screw bezel with original glass crystal. These are extremely rare and have seen more in books than anywhere else! This one is in very high condition and everything including the crown is operating properly. This is only the third one of these I've ever owned and it's complete ,all original and ready to go!!

Hamilton     "Bomb Timer"     Ca.1943               New Arrival

Mint condition on this Hamilton bomb timer from 1943. These were used to record bombing runs and establish hit credit for pilots and gun turrets operators. The battle over "hit credits" were determined by these HAMILTON  timers , integrated in cameras, that determined to the second who fired the first successful shot. Note the hacking pin on top left of picture ...when depressed hacks movement for exact synchronization. This one has been converted to a wrist watch with metal  band  and clasp...really neat. Well  this is one I've never seen before a "Ranger" automatic in Hermetic case with NATO strap. Watch   with crystal on it is attached to back (inside) and held by screws  and bezel with second crystal screws down to seal everything inside. Really neat WW l Elgin , has "Pershing dial" with 48 stars around it's outer edge  . This dial is more a copper or brown color--most others I've seen are black. Movement is the expected seven jewel model placed in majority of military models ca. 1917-18. Case is very unusual with crown @ 2:00 and were designed for ease of viewing while steering. Case measures 32.7 x 40mm overall and is manufactured by Philadelphia watch case co. marked silverode. Overall condition is very high and running great! Very collectible antique watch!
