Completely original "Mount Vernon" in yellow gold filled case. Manufactured  in 1932 a total of  only 1721 were made in yellow gold filled. Dial is original and is showing it's age ....lots of patina. There were only two Hamilton's to require a notched strap, "Mount Vernon" and the "Viscount".  This is a very rare Hamilton and in nice condition for 75 years on the job. Very rare ,3 piece ,solid 14k case with button release. Release is located between the lugs at six position. Button release must be pushed to open the case which is hinged to swing up for dial and down  for movement. Case is in real high condition and measures 24mm x 37mm overall. Movement is an O size with 15 jewels...just serviced and running perfect. Dial is original and in very nice condition for it's age with a nice set of original factory hands. Take a look at all the back pictures they may explain this  "Rare" little Elgin better than I can! This is the only one I've ever seen and I can't find it in any of my reference guides. I believe it is from the 20's and the case an early attempt to convert an "O" sized pocket watch  movement to a rectangular wrist watch........most others were round or cushion shaped!!
